Vastu for 30×40 House Plans — Practical Positions We Use on Site
Keep structure simple first (stair, toilets/ducts, car park, ventilation). If you want Vastu, we place rooms accordingly without making the build complicated.
Basics before Vastu
- Fix stair & toilets first — they decide shafts/headroom.
- Keep a clean column grid — straight beams, faster work.
- Plan real windows/shafts for every room — not symbolic vents.
- Decide entry and car park line early — avoid cutting columns later.
Vastu positions (simple and practical)
- Kitchen: South-East (preferred) or North-West if ducting is simpler.
- Master bed: South-West. Other beds per privacy and window sides.
- Pooja: North-East; keep ventilated, not a dark box.
- Living/Dining: North/East side if possible. Shade harsh West.
- Toilets: Stack vertically; reduce long horizontal runs.
- Stair: South/Centre bands usually work; don’t block NE light path.
Orientation notes for 30×40
- East-facing: Easy morning light. Entry/living in front; kitchen SE/NW as per duct.
- West-facing: More evening heat. Provide shading, deeper chajjas, cross-vent.
- North-facing: Soft daylight. Good for family/study; check road privacy.
- South-facing: Works fine with planning. Use landscape/shading; kitchen SE or NW.
Space efficiency on small plots
- Stack wet areas; align ducts; fewer bends = fewer leaks.
- Use standard door/window sizes; faster procurement.
- Keep centre zone clearer for movement; avoid thick walls mid-house.
- Plan wardrobes/bed sizes early so switches/windows don’t clash.
